CanSkate

Our CanSkate sessions are designed for young beginner skaters wishing to improve their basic skills whether their focus is figure skating, hockey, ringette, speed skating or just skating for fun. Levels include those stepping on the ice for the first time all the way up to Stage 6. Our sessions are full of action, movement and fun – you’ll see our coaches using teaching aids, upbeat music and a wide variety of activities to create a motivational environment that promotes learning. To get started all you need are skates (adjustable skates are not a good option), a CSA-approved hockey helmet, long pants, mittens and a warm sweater/jacket!

Please note that our Teen/Young Adult CanSkate is designed for skaters aged 10 and up.

Adults wishing to learn to skate should register for the Teen/Young Adult CanSkate Session.

Southern Alberta Skating Academy is excited to offer a Teen/ Young Adult CanSkate.  A one of a kind program that focuses on skill development for skaters aged 10 years and up.
